STUFF WE COOK AT COUNTRY’S AND AT HOME

I take it as a real compliment when folks say our brisket is as good as they’ve had in Texas. Someone recently told us that and ask for the rub recipe (probably just tryin to butter us up with the compliment). But anyway here’s one of our secrets — the recipe for Brisket Rub.

BRISKET RUB

  • 5 CUPS BLACK PEPPER
  • 2 1/2 QUARTS SUGAR
  • 2 1/2 QUARTS PAPRIKA
  • 5 CUPS SALT
  • 2 CUPS DRY MUSTARD

 

Mix it up and rub it on — that’s it.
